Description
The student’s family is facing significant financial hardship. Her father works at a tea shop and recently suffered a leg injury after a fall. He has been unable to attend work for the past one month, resulting in loss of income.
The student’s mother works in agricultural fields and takes up small daily wage jobs to manage household expenses. The student also has two younger siblings who are still very young and dependent on the family.
The parents have limited awareness regarding higher education processes and available government benefits such as the First Graduate concession. Based on the college’s assurance of lower fees, they admitted their daughter to a college in Chennai. She is into her 1st year BA English.
The family resides in their own house, which is their only asset.
